Schleich Black Forest Mare and Stallion Family

The Black Forest cold blood is a small but powerful and agile horse. It has an even-tempered and docile character while at the same time being very lively and full of energy. As with this Black Forest Mare from the Schleich Farm World, the mane and tail of this horse breed is always flaxen. It creates an exciting contrast to the dark, chestnut-coloured coat of the horse.

Fun Fact: The Black Forest cold blood is a very old horse breed, which has existed since the 15th century.

The Black Forest Stallion from the Schleich Farm World has a very dynamic pose. It shows how powerful and vigorous the Black Forest cold blood horses are. The animals are also known as W¤lderpferde (Woods Horse) because they used to help with heavy forestry work. These days the lively Black Forest cold bloods are mainly popular as recreational horses and are used for riding or to pull carriages and sleighs.

Fun Fact: The Black Forest cold blood is very rare and therefore rated as an endangered native working animal breed.
