Trakehner mares are gifted jumpers and dressage horses, and are often entered into shows. Because they have a sensitive temperament and quickly become distracted by noises, at shows they often wear a “fly veil" over their ears. This allows them to concentrate better on their jumps or dressage exercises. 

Fun Fact: Trakehners need experienced riders and are mainly used as sport horses.

The magnificent Paso Fino stallion is THE highlight at the big horse show in Lakeside. The onlookers are completely thrilled and in awe, because the stallion has a particularly smooth gait, which is even where the horse breed’s name comes from. 

Fun Fact: Paso Fino means precisely that: fine gait. Paso Fino horses master the smooth gait of the same name by nature. They are born with it.

Schleich Rocky Mountain Horse Playset 42469
At the horse show in Lakeside, the Rocky Mountain Horse mare has all eyes on it with its graceful movements. This horse breed has a natural predisposition for the “Tölt” gait, in which at least one leg always remains on the ground. This lets the rider sit particularly comfortably in the saddle. 

Fun Fact: The Rocky Mountain horse does not originally come from the mountains of that name but rather from the Appalachians.
